Our trips are outdoor-orientated camping trips and many of our days are very active. We include hiking, canoeing and kayaking. However we have had clients on our trips that are only able to walk a limited amount and have left out canoeing or kayaking. As long as you are flexible, we are, too!

Adventure is top of the list in what is available! No more could have been seen and done in 20 days! Read full reviewReviewed on 31 Aug 2017 by Sasha Lim
I loved this tour - it was amazing! Being able to travel Alaska in a converted school bus, with amazing guides and a fantastic group of like minded people, made for an incredible trip. We got to see some beautiful places and animals, ate really well and generally just had the best time. Read full reviewReviewed on 18 Sep 2016 by Julie Woods
Since this was my first trip on my own I felt very comfortable with the holiday providers as the owners were the people directly running the trip. They were always available to answer questions both before and during the trip. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for an exciting overland tour of Alaska (and Canada too!). Read full reviewReviewed on 07 Sep 2015 by John Cracknell
This is the best holiday my partner and I have ever been lucky enough to have. We thoroughly enjoyed it and it exceeded our dreams. If anyone is thinking of seeing Alaska and considering camping, this would be the tour to choose. Read full reviewReviewed on 13 Sep 2015 by David Conway
Difficult to pick one part as the whole trip was memorable. Alaska is such a scenic destination. Camping brings you closer to nature and the wild camping was in isolated, awe inspiring places. I particularly enjoyed the sea kayaking, around beautiful islands with sea otters everywhere. Read full reviewReviewed on 07 Sep 2014 by Bettina Bernhardt
It was an exceptional holiday, on all levels. I would not hesitate to recommend this trip. It's a small local company (which for me was also a decisive argument), they really know their stuff, everything works out perfectly. What you get to see is really unique and unforgettable. You'll bring back wonderful pictures and mostly, great memories and funny stories to tell back home! Read full reviewResponsible Travel

Planet
Alaska is one of the last places in this world with pristine and untouched wilderness. It goes without saying that we recycle to local possibilities and leave our campsites exactly as we found them. Being out in the wilderness also means teaching our guests how to interact with wildife safely. We make sure to not put wild animals in any danger through frequent interaction with humans. For bears this means for example to never leave any food or trash open or unlocked in our camps to make sure these beautiful wild animals don't get used to different food sources other than what mother nature provides them. Our Overland Vehicle is running carbon neutral. As much as we believe that the only right way is to save ressources and find ways to reduce CO2 emmissions we also think running our vehicle carbon neutral is at least a start: It is a necessary second-best solution for us as a small company. We decided to go with atmosfair, which is a climate protection organisation with a focus on travel. They actively protect the climate by compensating greenhouse gases through the use of renewable energies, among other activities. This means we are calculating the fuel consumption for a whole year. 3 liters of fuel equals 3 kg of CO2. For the amount of CO2 emissions we will pay atmosfair to compensate and reinvest in green energy projects.
People
We believe that traveling broadens your mind. Group travel allows you not only to encounter the culture of the places you are visiting it also allows you to interact with people from different countries learning about their living experiences. Being out in the nature and sleeping under the stars brings you freedom and may give you different perspectives and views on you life back home.Being a small family run business, we pride ourselves on developing relationships with the locals, most notably the local suppliers. When we provide accommodations, or even when we go ice climbing, we do everything we can to work with small local businesses. Going shopping, we look for local farmers’ markets to purchase local produce.
If we are providing accommodations, we work with people like Mary Jane and Tony Lustufka who have been running a local bed and breakfast for over 20 years. The activities we provide through third party suppliers are with locals like fishing with Jim Lavrakas or a small family run bear viewing company like Smokey Bay Air. This is supporting the local fishermen culture in Alaska which at the same time provides unique experiences for our clients.
Whenever possible we include local festivals/concerts of Alaskan bands into our itinerary.
