Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.
Planet
Responsible tourism is a multi-stakeholder issue, whose main aim is to ensure the natural landscapes visited are not damaged anyway.Eco-tourism, nonetheless is still in the infant stages in Central Asia, is being promoted actively to get equitable development in the economy while at the same time protecting the environment.
Suppliers
We cooperate with suppliers who share our environmental values. We use the services of hotels and guest houses that use solar power to heat water and generate electricity. For Example Apaga Resorts which is located in the heart of the nature and provides only environmentally friendly services.
Office
We use emails rather than fax and do not print documents but store them on our computers and in online clouds. All of our invoices, travel information and travel documents to our clients are issued as PDF - not printed on paper. Also we reduce waste and pollution by collaborating with plastic and paper waste reducing company in Armenia named "Ecoaghb" and "Apaga". Our e-mails, PDF files, invoices, vouchers always include notes with suggestion to consider the environment before printing them.
People
Travelling with respect :As we know Central Asia is very traditional area and we encourage our guests to be sensitive to the host culture, maintaining and encouraging social and cultural diversity. Our tourists travel in small groups so they have a minimal impact on the environment as we go. We work with local operator, who employs on our behalf local group leaders, drivers and the local site guides creating vital local employment.
We also try to make a good relationship between tourist and locals by organizing lunches or dinners at local’s homes. This gives a chance to both tourists and local people to understand each other's cultural differences and have a cultural exchange.
We are always trying to analyze and develop our responsible business policy and behaviors, through client and tour feedback and in response to changing socio-political conditions and current affairs.
A fair deal :
Working conditions are at the core of paid work and employment relationships. Generally speaking, working conditions cover a broad range of topics and issues, from working time to remuneration, as well as the physical conditions and mental demands that exist in the workplace. So we offer local people good working conditions with a fare wage. We also empower our employees with special organized training opportunities.
