Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.
Planet
Afrochella is a vibrant, fun, and engaging festival designed to give you all the best of African culture. It is our philosophy to help participants get the most out of their environment on this tour by working with local entrepreneurs and businesses that have a proven track record for supporting socio-economic development. We also try to inform our guests about these efforts, urging them to recycle waste in an eco-friendly manner and provide sustainable tourism goods and services. We have a dedication to preserving the environments and cultures of the places we travel to, which is why we offer environmental initiatives at Afrochella to help local communities maintain a sustainable environment. In addition, we accompany our local personnel to these hotels to provide a lecture on environmental issues and to assist them in installing solar panels as well as turning off lights and electrical appliances that are not in use.
We do not allow travelers to litter the environment on this tour, but instead, encourage them to educate the communities they visit about environmental issues like waste recycling.
People
Afrochella is a festival that promotes global unity through music, arts, and culture. This tour is a culturally immersive Ghanaian experience. We provide travelers with a unique perspective of Ghanaian culture by visiting the women's market in Accra and taking part in workshops that feature handcrafted accessories for purchase. These purchases help to improve the economic lives of these market women. In addition, travelers get to sample local delicacies and learn about the lifestyle of the locals. With the aim of connecting and amplifying the talent of millennial Africans, we present participants with art, fashion, music, film, and food in their highest form throughout the tour.
The tour celebrates the achievements of Africa-based artists, social enterprises, and charities. It’s also an opportunity to give back to the community by showing tourists how to make a difference in their visit.
We also collaborate with local guides and operators during the journey (responsible local operators who provide training and employment to many local people as guides, providing them with stable employment in the tourism industry).
