Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.
Planet
All our trips are design for destinations that are committed to our policy of responsible travel where their practices conserve nature and the environment as well as the local heritage. On this trip, we create awareness on environmental protection. On our visits to the various sites,we make a presentation under the theme "Protecting the Environment for the Future Generation" This we hope to rekindle the spirit of environmental protection into destination managers.
Our commitment to carbon-free transport is very core to our business. We have also instituted a social responsibility project where we plant trees in some of our destinations to mitigate climate change and practices that destroy the ozone layer. Our smoke-free stove project is a force to reckon with. One other aspect of our environmental sustainability is the creation and marketing of more Ecological villages in our destination. We spot and adopt communities that live very close to nature.Communities that have their traditional cultures as same as they were centuries a go become places that we send tourists to experience the real African life.
People
This trip offers you a unique local experience and benefits the local communities directly because all the site fees you pay are used for the development of those communities. As a results of the strong link we have with the communities, we train the local tour guides who are the resource persons for our travelers on their visits. In this respect, we generate employment for the local people. We also work with community leaders and other stakeholders to ensure the maintenance of the local culture. Our responsible travel practices also extends to training and developing of the local people at the grass root on how to put in place proper tourism management structures. Our work with the local women in Shea butter processing is a key aspect of what we do to fight poverty through Eco tourism. As part of our policy of "give back to the community", we patronize only accommodations that belongs to the local people. All our transport suppliers are locally owned.Popular similar holidays
