LOCAL ECONOMY

Locally Owned Accommodations: A majority of the accommodations used in this tour are locally owned, ensuring that the revenue generated benefits local communities.

Supporting Local Businesses: The tour includes visits to local wineries in the Vipava Valley, promoting local wine production and supporting the regional economy.

Local Guides: Employing local guides ensures that the money spent remains in the community and contributes to the local economy.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY, AND DIVERSITY

Local Employment: Approximately 90% of our staff and operating partners in Slovenia are from the country, with most of them coming from the local communities where the tours operate.

Inclusive Employment: We actively create income-generating opportunities for marginalized groups. For instance, we collaborate with local organizations to employ individuals who are economically disadvantaged or have disabilities. Currently, we have 15 such employees across various roles and locations.

Fair Wages: All our staff and ground operating partners are paid at least the minimum wage applicable in Slovenia, with many earning above that threshold.

Workplace Diversity Strategy: We have a comprehensive workplace diversity strategy that nurtures equal employment opportunities without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, or nationality.

LGBTQ+ Friendly: This trip is LGBTQ+ friendly, and we strive to create an inclusive environment for all travelers.

Accessibility: Due to the nature of this tour focusing on cycling and hiking, it is not well-suited for people with limited mobility.
