Planet
Carbon ReductionThis trip is very low carbon as most of the time will be spent in nature hiking, exploring on foot, rock climbing, etc. The trip is full board and all meals are locally sourced.
Environment and wildlife
On this tour we will spend most of our time in unspoilt, off the beaten track areas, and it is very important for us that we leave the areas untouched by our presence. Our top objective is the practice of sustainable tourism. Through this objective, we advise local people on the negative effects of poaching wildlife in forest reserves, and try to show them the importance of wildlife tourism, through the trips we run. We also support tree planting exercises in these areas. Regarding Waste Management, we collect all bottles used on the trip and donate them to local farms to use for the nursing of seedlings and also to store liquids. We have assisted some local communities with waste bins in the past which aided them to keep their tourist sites clean and putting in measures to donate more waste containers to communities we send our tourists to for site seeing.
People
Local EconomyWe contribute a portion of our profits to the communities that give our clients their best experiences. We do this by engaging the services of local guides for all our community tours and also make use of locally owned establishments such as hotels, shops and restaurants all geared towards impacting the local economy of the destinations. These conscious effort make communities benefit directly from tourism. We also provide training to the local guides to enable them to provide visitors with high standards of service. With the involvement of the locals in our experiences, it has created very good relationships between them and our clients during our visits to their communities. And finally, we put aside part of our profits to buy educational materials and other essentials for the local communities at the end of each year. We also sometimes use part of that money to subsidise the rate for tour packages for students so that it can be affordable for all.
