Reviews for Finnish family winter adventure holiday

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Basecamp was a delightful place to stay, but my daughter says the husky ride! The staff were very friendly, and all had a good sense of humour. The inclusions like hot drinks, sauna use, snow shoes and x-c skis for our stay were really handy, as was all the kit we borrowed.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Don't be afraid of the cold, it was -34 C when we were there and we were kept busy and looked after so we didn't notice the cold as much. I'm someone who feels the cold and I still loved it. Don't pack many clothes, you just won't need them, all the equipment is provided, you just need base layers, a few outfits for the evening/travelling, socks and hats/scarves etc.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, there were several days that we didn't travel by coach (reducing our carbon footprints), the local providers of activities benefitted from us visiting their businesses (huskies/reindeer farm), and buying souvenirs in some cases.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Absolutely amazing, I hope to go to Oulanka again, as do the rest of my family. It blew me away, I've visited 50 countries and I can't recall feeling so happy on a trip in a long time as I was with this holiday and experiencing a small corner of Finland.Holiday Reviews
