1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Summiting the Figerhorn, walking barefoot through Alpine meadows, the phenomenal food at the accommodation, sunrise yoga, and the breathtaking views from my room-- it's hard to choose a most memorable part.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Reach out to the tour operator ahead of time if you have any questions. The reception staff are incredibly helpful and very responsive!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. The accommodation is situated on the edge of one of the largest National Parks in Europe, and all of our tour guides touched on the Park's conservation efforts. Additionally, the vegan menu was absolutely phenomenal (even as someone who is not usually vegan).4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
One of my favorite holidays ever! In every way, the tour operator far surpassed my expectations. I miss it already, and I look forward to returning to this gem soon!Matthew Whittle review 11 Aug 2019

Absolutely stunning scenery on the incredible guided walks every day. Some of the walks were hard work but so, so rewarding.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Yes - all the food at MoaAlm was vegan, locally sourced and very delicious. Our walks were led by a brilliant local guide who always encouraged us to eat at the local mountain food huts.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Fantastic active holiday with lots of rewarding exercise but plenty of wonderful downtime too.Janet Neve review 28 Aug 2018
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
It was all good. The setting, the amazing views, the accommodation and the delicious food. I really enjoyed the yoga - a great start to the day. The walks were varied but all very good. The people running Moa Alm are all lovely and very enthusiastic. Very helpful and flexible as well -especially when I changed my plans at the last minute2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Moa Alm is quite remote and the journey there from any of the airports can be quite long and convoluted by public transport Do try the yoga even if you haven't done it before .3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Used local food in Moa Alm and also we had lunch at traditional mountain huts, when available4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The whole experience of being in such a beautiful place away from everything. We particularly enjoyed the hillwalking and climbing Figerhorn mountain with the outstanding panorama on top including the Grosglockner. We had such a sense of achievement are getting to the summit. Our guides both Barbara and Hubert made every effort to ensure that we had a most enjoyable and memorable holiday. Waking up to yoga every morning set me up for the day so well. The food was also outstanding with local produce and also wild mushrooms form the forest in many of the dishes. There was so much attention to detail and it all tasted so delicious inculding the Indonesian feast. Thankyou so much2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
To go out and see as much as you can of this beautiful area while you are there. It is such a special place but it is only through exploring its many valleys, mountains, forests and villages that you feel the essence of this place.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
It benefited the local restaurants which we went to daily while on our walks. Little hidden away places. We did everything in our local area with little use of transport. Only using on our feet and lots of energy!4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Our holiday was so memorable and we have loads of beautiful photos to look back on for many years to come. There was such attention to detail in Moa Alm. The whole experience was really personal we felt part of this place. We all ate together, walked together, laughed together and talked together. I highly recommend it.Penelope Franks review 20 Aug 2015
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The absolutely superb location in a remote and largely unspoilt part of the Austrian Alps. Lots of lovely hiking routes in the vicinity as well as enough quiet enjoyment of the magnificent mountain scenery to warrant the description "Mountain Retreat".2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
-Don't go if really good cooking doesn't do anything for you! Everything the chef puts on the table is delicious and deserves to be appreciated. - Do get up a bit early in the morning to join the yoga classes. Barbara will tailor them to your needs and abilities. Ask her to keep the music low if you don't like it! - Despite the remote location - some 40 minutes' drive from the nearest town, Lienz - you can leave the car at home. Lienz is easily accessible by train and the hosts at MoaAlm will collect guests from the station.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Neither yes nor no; can't judge after just one week on a first visit. However, my feeling is that paragliding is not a conservationist practice....4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
See above, + The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with stupendous views; the hosts are extremely flexible and attentive to guests as individuals; they themselves and the way days are structured help you to feel really comfortable in the group. In other words: TOPS! I even congratulate myself for finding and booking this holiday!!Holiday Reviews
