It was the most amazing time away with my son. We made so many memories that I will cherish for always... So thank you to you Amanda and everyone else for helping this dream become real. (more)Emma Marshall
The most memorable part of the holiday was the whale watching trip and seeing flying fish... The marine biologists enjoyed sharing their knowledge. (more)Lyn Acton
I think the way the island deals with the wildlife is excellent. The boats are not allowed out in overwhelming numbers and keep a safe and respectful distance from the animals. The marine biologists are very knowledgeable and I think it gave the travellers a great respect for the sea and the wildlife. 10/10 it was fantastic! (more)freya woods

Memorable parts? I really enjoyed the trips to Sinea and Florence when we learned a lot about the history of the area. Tips? Try all the different types of lovely food on offer. Local benefits? Yes because it was a family run hotel with local staff. Overall rating? I gave a 5 although some of the evening meals in the hotel were very plain. (more)Janet Marchant

Memorable parts? The views from the vineyards and forested areas from the river were fantastic. The kayaking was really nice. We especially loved the hike through the vineyards and walking around smaller villages in the late afternoons. The guides and our driver were very friendly and helpful. We really felt they were our friends just a few days into the trip. Tips? Local benefits? Yes. We used local resources (restaurants, hotels, small shops, and taxi drivers). We ... Spectacular views and stunning scenery (more)Sue Bellis
The guide is a disaster. His only talent is that he's very good at finding paths, he has the entire island mapped in his brain. For the rest, he's unable to give any details about the island (history, economy, etc) and he's deprived of all organisations and social skills. (more)Paola Nebbia

Walking and wine tour of Portugal

Memorable parts? Well, it was certainly not exciting. The countryside was very nice. Tips? Don't. Local benefits? I'm guessing the local tour company made a killing on it. Overall rating? An absolute rip off. This trip was billed as being 'premium' and cost twice as much as my previous walking week in Madeira with another operator but was nothing like as good: badly organised and in unattractive hotels. Terceira cycling holiday in the Azores
From
€790

Memorable parts? Terceira is a lovely varied island. The cycle routes combined lots of different terrains. It’s quite hilly but there are some amazing down hill slopes to enjoy ! There are some excelllent places to swim too. Tips? We felt pretty prepared - we were given a GPS but I like to have a map to get the bigger picture. A pannier would be a good idea too as the bikes had racks. We didn’t have one with us and used rucksacks instead. On some routes you go quite away without ... (more)Katy Lee

Memorable parts? Seeing a blue whale for the first time in my life Tips? Bring warm clothes for sea even in May it is quite chilly. Sea sickness pills: even if you are not sensitive some rough day at sea it may bring extra comfort. I did not bring but it is easy and cheap to buy at a pharmacy in Horta. Local benefits? I hope it will help for the conservation and understanding better local populations of whales Overall rating? This was a great experience, Tiago ... (more)Sylvain Masse
