Loved the variety of scenery and historical places,. The tour operator was excellent, went out of their way to help you before and after the trip. The accommodation was all great with good breakfasts in most to get you going. Because of the heat we started earlier than on the programe which worked well. (more)Jill Ford

Memorable parts? Really very difficult to say as the itinerary was superb. It probably has to be Gobekli Tepe which is just out of this world, though the city of Mardin was lovely. and Sumela Monastery even outshone the Tiger's Nest in Bhutan (and was a lot easier to get to!). Do make the decision to spend a lot of money on a hand woven silk rug, you ... (more)Carl Atkinson

Local benefits? We ate in local restaurants. Overall rating? It was a very interesting and enjoyable ... (more)Catherine Rowland

Memorable parts? Montenegro - stunning scenery, and we were lucky enough to have a fortnight of wonderful weather Tips? Be very wary of taking a taxi in Budapest! Our pre booked taxi to meet us at the airport did arrive (but with different company & driver!), but for two others on the trip their pre booked taxis never turned up. Advice seems to be to use public transport. Local benefits? We used local guides, with great knowledge of the area and its somewhat troubled ... (more)Sara Warren
