Memorable parts? Being so close to so many wild animals, especially lions, elephants, leopards and farting hippos. Tips? It’s fantastic but you spend a lot of time in your vehicle, with no opportunity to walk apart from in the camps. The roads can be very rough. Local benefits? Yes. We stayed in very comfortable lodges and camps run by Tanzanian companies and we also had an opportunity to visit a Masai village for a fee that went directly to them. The included park ... There is so much to choose from!!! If I had to pick one thing it would be the people- the local Tanzanians, the in holiday support (who we couldn't live without) and the other volunteers who were there at the same time. The best thing we have ever done!!! We can't wait to go back! (more)Louisa Davidson
Excellent. It surpassed our expectations. (more)Laura Bouchard
Ten out of ten! We were made to feel welcome from the very start and felt that all the projects that we were involved in were so worthwhile. We were really impressed by the professionalism and dedication of Graham and Claire and, at the same time, their friendliness and warmth. They are 100% committed to the local community. Most of it was both memorable and exciting. The gorilla trek was extremely tough but worth it and an adventure in its own right. Great safari. We were five adults and had a blast. Our guide was very informative and patient with us. Special thanks to Ann. Memorable parts? Biking itself and meeting the locals on the way was fascinating enough, but camping on Masai grounds and talk to the villagers was a bonus on top. I definitely enjoyed the variety of biking tracks and terrains and the game drives were fantastic. Tips? Well, be in good condition, have a bit of biking practise beforehand and go for some uphills.
