Memorable parts? I can't name only one!! If I really had to choose, I'd say the Borneo rainforest lodge in Danam Valley. Stunning location, amazingly helpful and knowledgeable staff and beautifully maintained lodges. Could not fault it. Tips? Even in the dry season, leech socks are necessary for Tabin and Danum Valley. Buy buy them there, not online. MUCH cheaper! This is a BUSY schedule involving very early mornings most days, as that's when you're most likely to see ... (more)Liz Carr

Borneo Mount Kinabalu climb holiday

Memorable parts? Probably summiting Mt Kinabalu for sunrise, what a feeling! Also the wildlife was incredible. Tips? You don't really need the leech protection if you aren't going to Danum. I wish I'd brought more shorts and "casual" attire rather than just long sleeved jungle wear! Local benefits? Yes I felt that the tours were done in very responsible way and the guides and local people truly care about conservation. Overall rating? Amazing holiday, once in a ... (more)Roxanne McVittie

Seeing all the wildlife was great especially for the kids -- monkeys & wild boar at Bako National Park, Semenggoh Orangutans' Center, & seeing the Irawaddy Dolphins on the Santubong Wildlife Cruise. And the rainforest kayaking was definitely fun for the whole family. For my 14 yr old daughter, she would say that having her half drunk can of Lychee drink stolen by a Macaque monkey at Bako was the highlight. (more)Alison Symons

Memorable parts?
