Singapore holidays
There’s plenty to be pleased about on Singapore holidays and not only for the ubiquitous cocktail at Raffles or the choice of restaurants which range from street food in Chinatown to trader tables in Marina Bay. Singapore is somewhere to investigate for its own merits or to combine with a neighbouring country in order to compare and contrast. Cycle, walk or just hang out, it’s that sort of place.

Memorable parts?
A lot to mention, but we were lucky with our timing in that we got to see the independence day celebrations in both Singapore and Indonesia (Lombok). The event put on by Sudamala Senggigi in particular was fantastic.
Tips?
I would spend more time exploring Lombok over going to Bali.

Memorable parts?
Seeing orang-utans in the wild at Kinabatangan, and in the semi-wild at Sepilok, and seeing a herd of elephants cross the river at Kinabatangan seeing Deer Cave and Clearwater Cave at Mulu.
Tips?
I don't really think the beach resort at the end was necessary to unwind. Don't worry about the clothes you bring.

Luang Prabang and a day excursion to Pak Ou Caves and Kuang Si Falls
Tips?
Do not book with a travel Agent that does not send you a change of hotel booked and paid for since January and you get your final documents two weeks before you leave for the holiday to find you have been shoved into a hotel you did not know about or agree to and are then told it is too late to book anywhere else.
