1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing Kravica Waterfall and swimming in the lake, followed by lunch alongside the river in Blagaj.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Although the activities themselves are not arduous, the agenda is pretty full-on. Great in that you see and do so much in ten days, but be prepared for not having lots of free time. Also, the walk down Rakitnica Canyon , which is wonderful, is not for those who have not done some hiking before or are not very fit (you do have option to stay in Lukomir village but there's very little to do there).

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes - trips to several local businesses, such as vineyards, and we ate out at local restaurants nearly all the time, never at the hotels (except breakfast). We also had a couple of lunches with families in villages. Both Montenegro and Bosnia seem very dependant at the moment on income from tourism, so it's good to buy whenever possible from local traders (plenty of opportunity in Sarajevo and Mostar for souvenirs).

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Great - definitely exceeded my expectations. Our guide, Alen was excellent and imparted so much knowledge about the history of the region, from the middle ages through to the recent conflicts after the break-up of Yugoslavia.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

It was all gorgeous, but I really loved Starigrad and hill walking in that region.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

You need good boots and walking poles. The terrain is rough and rocky underfoot, and is better negotiated with this basic gear.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I think our local guide made good choices about where we were accommodated, where we ate and where we walked with these considerations in mind.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was a wonderful trip. Our guide, Mario, was so great at engaging with everyone in the group and accommodating us.
