Jordan holidays

Travel to the Middle East and unearth an ancient world on Jordan holidays. The ancient 'pink city' of Petra is an unmissable sight. Enter the city via the Siq - a narrow canyon formed over thousands of years, and the grandeur of mysterious Petra is revealed. Venture to Wadi Rum and camp in the desert or escape the heat and enjoy a relaxing float in the salty water of the Dead Sea or dive into the Red Sea in Aquaba.

Memorable parts? We travelled to Jordan to visit friends so not part of this review. Our two guides were/are the MOST memorable part of our time in Egypt. They were knowledgeable, fun and were on the spot for anything we needed or anticipated our needs. Tips? When booking be sure you and the agent are on the same page. IF phone connections are not good do not continue the conversation. It is your holiday NOT the agent's. Flowery words do not make up for lack of communication. The ... (more)Harrie Lerman

Memorable parts? Visiting Petra was incredible, as was trekking through the beautiful desert landscape at Wadi Rum and staying in the wonderful Bedouin 'Rainbow' camp. Our tour leader Wally was fantastic. He was an amazing font of knowledge and had great energy throughout the trip. Tips? Definitely bring your sleeping bag if you're visiting in the early Spring or late Autumn as the desert can get really cold at night. Pack for all eventualities - we had a couple of days of rain ... Memorable parts? Pretty much all of it. The ruins of Jerash were amazing to see, floating in the Dead Sea is one of those iconic life experiences, and of course Petra is just one gorgeous view after another. Our cycling ride to Little Petra was a tough ride but well worth the effort and our camel ride in Wadi Rum was the quintessential Middle Eastern experience. Tips? Be very clear about what kinds of hotels and experiences you are looking for. The company was very flexible and ... (more)Catherine Parisio

Memorable parts? The cycling. Tips? It was a great holiday, thoroughly recommended for active families with teenagers - something for everyone. Local benefits? Several local people/ businesses were used, but as we had two vehicles with us most of the time we felt bad about the environmental impact. Overall rating? Fantastic. (more)Hannah Wood
Aqaba diving holiday in Jordan, with Petra
From
£1,550

Memorable parts? Wadi Rum I think was the most interesting and memorable. Tips? Bring lots of small bills because everyone deserves a tip. It's a service economy and they definitely deserve tipping! Local benefits? I hope that some of my $ goes to cleaning up the reefs in the area. There was a disappointing amount of trash lodged in the coral near Aqaba. Overall rating? 5 stars, definitely! Family adventure holiday in Jordan

Memorable parts? The mix of everything, the balance was perfect, especially since we only had a week. Tips? Go for it! Local benefits? It did benefit local people. But it could have had less environmental impacts by giving the opportunity to refill water in re-usable bottles. Overall rating? We had very high expectations, but the tour exceeded them all.
