I had a great holiday! he most memorable part would be all the wildlife we saw. We saw three polar bears, a super pod of 1,000 Beluga Whales, walruses, arctic
foxes and tons of reindeer. The ship and it's crew were fantastic. (more)Laurie Karner
A marvellous experience. Apart from all the wonderful animals I saw, all the crew and guides were so friendly and pleasant. They give you the best experience possible and safety is a big feature. The meals were also very good. (more)Pauline Ringland

There were many moments, but kayaking at Vrango Island, Sweden was a highlight.Oh, forgot about staying in cabins in Gudvangen, Norway with a waterfall in view, was outstanding. Then from there, the Naeroyfjord cruise to Flam. What can I say? Too many memorable parts to choose just one.
Tips?
It can be physically challenging- a lot of walking- so pace yourself. It's well with it.
Local benefits?

Holiday was good. Standard of accommodation and food was great. Scenery is fantastic providing cloud is high enough to make it visible! Cycling was enjoyable and not very demanding for a regular cyclist. It was very interesting to visit some local museums and see what a hard existence people had in Lofoten only a few decades ago. 22 Polar bears! And sadly this was a year when the sea ice melted early so I was afraid we wouldn't see any. Also foxes, walruses and reindeer, all seemingly unconcerned with humans so we were quite close.
Spectacular scenery - glaciers, icebergs, tundra - lovely ship with a great crew and food better than I expected. Also, most importantly, the guides couldn't have been better.
Tips?
Be prepared for ever changing weather conditions.

Being in a quiet location, surrounded by snow was stunning, the cabins and staff at Northern Lights village phyla were both wonderful but the activities we
undertook were amazing. Husky sled rides, snowmobile treks and ice fishing were all brilliant.
Tips?
Follow the clothing guides, it was very very cold outside (-29 one day) and having the correct layers on was invaluable. Take some hand and feet warmers too.

A great way to explore an area we had never visited before. Excellent hotels and meals - lots of lovely fresh fish. Well organised - bags were picked up and waiting for us at the next hotel. (more)Julie Smart
We had a fabulous trip cycling along the fjords and catching ferries to the islands south of Bergen. The accommodation was varied and of good quality. (more)Laura Bolger

Skiing from Kvitfjell to Skeikampen
Tips?
Be prepared for skiing with a fair amount of elevation gains. The ski tracks generally were in great condition. I was happy I chose to bring waxable skis instead of skins.
Local benefits?
The tour used trains and buses instead of individual cars. The mountain lodges were run by locals and seemed happy to receive us.

It was the trip of a lifetime. There was a lot more than one memorable part of this trip. The whole trip was memorable. The boat, the scenery, the wildlife the food and the captain and first mate were excellent. (more)Annie Wolohan
The most incredible experience! Such a privilege to be in that environment in such a close, but 'gentle touch' way. Most certainly the holiday of a lifetime! We saw whales every day of the trip, but the most memorable encounter occurred on our final day on the water. The weather had been bad overnight and it
was touch and go whether we went out. Thankfully we did! After following a pod of orca for a while there was a lull, and we drifted hoping to see more. Then,
a flurry of activity all ... (more)Steve Alcock

I loved the express boat trip from Balestrand to Bergen. The weather wasn't great but the scenery was beautiful. The rail journey from Oslo to Flåm was also
spectacular, it was a shame we missed the boat connection to Balestrand from Flåm as I expect that was beautiful too.
Tips?
Get a later train from Oslo and stay the night in Flåm, and get the boat to Balestrand the next day. Is saves you carrying around your luggage whilst waiting for the boat, and if your ... (more)Maxine Hayes

The whole trip was really exciting, so difficult to choose. Will cetss add only remember the day with the Skaland tunnel and the long rides through the marshland. The Hurtigruten part was also fantastic.

The ice canyoning was a wonderful experience. And I also really enjoyed what I did every day.
Tips?
It's a mix of guided and independent activities. I really liked that. Total beginners at cross country skiing would need to be prepared to practice on their own and maybe sometimes take their skis off and walk if a section was too challenging. But advice and routes are available.
Local benefits?
