Eswatini (Swaziland) holidays
Many travellers tag on Swaziland holidays to their tours through surrounding South Africa, and with good reason. Squashed up against the Mozambique border, the attractions in this tiny, mountainous kingdom far outweigh its diminutive size. This is one of the world’s last absolute monarchies, so there is a fantastic culture to discover, as well as national parks, game reserves and hiking trails.

Memorable parts?
Having such a wonderful local Swazi guide. I was the only person on the trip so that was important.
Tips?
Many tourists spend only one or two nights in Swaziland (Eswatini) between Kruger and Mozambique. It is a small country but you need a week at least.
Wildlife is superb and accommodation exceeded my expectations. I expected cold water and a long drop, but had hot showers and flushing toilet everywhere

Memorable parts?
Everything! It was an amazing trip with a wonderful creation. We were well taken care of, spoiled in fact. An amazing journey to be able to discover a little bit of these four countries.
Tips?
Patience as the driving hours are long. Smile as this is Africa, and not always as you would do it or like it! Bring clothes that dry quickly. Budget for a few upgrades as a night in a bed makes a big différence once in a while.

Nature did not disappoint, every day & night we saw the most amazing sights and
many days we saw more animals than people. The variety and contrast as well as
the history and cultures we travelled through brought alive by our incredibly
knowledgeable guide Andrew. Each location was a different delight staying in
everything from bee huts to hippo chalets as well as the amazing Tshukudu Game
Reserve, a place we were sorry to leave and will most definitely return to. (more)Noreen Gomez
