1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The guide was excellent - probably the best I have ever had the opportunity to travel with. So, full marks to Sara Bull.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
It's a challenge - the walking is graded 3 and it was more or less what I expected, though there were others in the group who were clearly surprised and a little worried after the first day. The accommodation is simple - clean and comfortable but certainly not luxurious.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We stayed in an Agriturismo hotel and I really believe that the local people benefitted in many ways. We ate a lot of produce from the 'farm', (vegetables, pancakes cooked with chestnut flour, honey, jam, cheese and wine all produced from the farm), did a guided walk with one of the family who is a trained guide, ate in local restaurants and spent money in local produce stores.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent all round - great guide, wonderful companions (only 7 of us in total) and a feeling of being part of the community for a week.Gemma Davies review 25 Aug 2019

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Getting to the top of Monte Sumbra - the last day, and a grand walk.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Make sure you are fit. Although not hugely high the altitude does affect one, and as the weather was particularly hot - around 35 celsius most days, it was rather more difficult than expected. Some days it felt like a bit of a route march. Take time to enjoy the scenery.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
The Agrotourisimo was run by a lovely, welcoming and charming local family and all food was bought locally. We used the local taxi service and trains.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
I did enjoy it; probably slighlty more difficult than anticipated due to the altitude, but once acustomised it all flowed. The pool was a life saver at the end of the hot days; eating out under the pergola each evening with house wine was lovely and the scenery to die for. It was a well organised walking holiday with a very competant leader.Carrie Beall review 9 Oct 2018

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Walking over limestone pavement at the top of one of the mountains in strong sunshine but a high wind!2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared for walking up a lot each day, it's often steep. We generally walked up around 600metres and then back down the same every day, and the walks were around 8miles on most days. Also be aware that you'll experience soft earthy woodland paths, through deciduous woodland but also very rough rocky terrain.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes definitely. It was lovely to be looked after by the family at Braccicorti who housed and fed us wonderfully. Sara our guide took us to shops in the local area who sold local produce as well and we could buy some things like home grown sun dried tomatoes and red wine from the farm we were staying on.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
