1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Cloud forests in Bocas province and Boquete. Coolish breezes that took edge of the humidity and heat. Swimming in both the Caribbean and Pacfic oceans, very warm.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

We relied on drivers to transport between Bocas province, Boquete and Azuero Province (Pedasi). We could have rented vehicle and seen more.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, for sure it benefited local people. We frequented local restaurants and crafts stalls/markets and probably purchased more local crafts than typical (because we love textiles by local indigenous people). We interacted with our drivers and guides, some of whom had completed education in tourism, and helped them with their English, as they helped us with our Spanish!

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Good to very good.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Exploring the Gulf of Chiriquí Marine National Park by boat, seeing beautiful birds on the sunset cruise and snorkelling and exploring beautiful beaches and islands on the daytime cruise. Also exploring the cloud forest near Boquete with an expert bird guide we hired, and seeing the elusive Resplendent Quetzal.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Do your homework when picking the various options to make up your holiday. Panama is a diverse country and some places will best suit some people more than others. A reasonable level of fitness will allow you more opportunities.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

We stayed in small, usually family-run hotels and the trips we took were mainly run by locals.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Very interesting, not always what we expected but good fun most of the time.

Research the hotels you might stay in as some need tender loving care.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Certainly supported the local economy as we spent time and money in local restaurants, bars, shops etc.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

There was a lot of travelling but we did see a lot of the different parts of the country. Very memorable.
