Memorable parts?
So many highlights. Every day was memorable...Witnessing the Naadam Horse Racing and Opening Ceremony. Walking and camping in beautiful mountains, valleys and flower filled meadows. Staying with wonderfully hospitable people and families - especially yak herder and a market gardener. Visiting Hustai National Park to see the Przewalski horses, the main reason for going to Mongolia in the first place

Memorable parts?
Standing outside my ger watching the morning star while surrounded by goats and sheep and a guard dog finally able to snooze
as daylight sweeps into the valley.
Tips?
Invest in a pair of warm boots.
Perhaps be prepared to wear the same clothes for several days at a time - this will also help to keep the weight of your baggage
down!

Meeting and spending time with local families, particularly watching them at
their work herding their animals milking them and preparing their food for the winter.We also met delightful older parents and young children and they were a delight. The hospitality shown on arrival at the girl of a host and

Oh, man--it's impossible to choose. The most memorable part for me was getting out of the jeep at our first homestay and discovering the absolute, complete
silence. It was unlike anything I've ever experienced.
Tips?
Know that the horse-riding is arduous and exhilarating. Definitely not for beginners.

The accommodations are basic. No showers and toliet attached to the ger. Some grumbling about this but you do get a bed to sleep in!

Experiencing a new culture, food and enjoying the secludedness of nothingness and never ending landscapes...

It benefited local people however we certainly didn't reduce the impact on the environment: driving around in a Russian van, buying packaged and canned food which we had to dispose of in a rubbish tip that never gets emptied and leaving our bowel movements behind...

So many highlights - cantering across valley floors, playing traditional games on horseback, visiting local people, seeing petroglyphs from the Stone and
Bronze ages and of course, visiting the Eagle festival.
Tips?
If booking the September trips, bring a lot of warm clothes. Double what you think you might need. Bring some small gifts for visiting local families.

Nademm Festival, finding a herd of Taki horses, climbing the Gobi desert when it was cool and pouring with rain, seeing yaks and hundreds of horses. Our
guide was so informative, he was great. I found the Mongolian people very nice.
Tips?

Hopefully yes, there was still a lot of plastic drinking bottles when we went to meals.
