North America holidays
Travel north to Alaska or stick to the coastlines of Canada and the good old USA, whatever you do, don’t discount North America holidays as anything other than awesome. The national parks alone will fill you with a childlike enthusiasm that’s off the scale and hiking in the Rocky Mountains or polar bear watching in Canada are just a couple of experiences that naturally knocks the theme parks of Florida into a unmentionable cocked hat.

Memorable parts?
The countryside we travelled through and the wildlife encounters.
Tips?
Use of a satnav rather than reliance on signposts & maps. Seemed that sign posts in Quebec Province weren’t that important to locals.
Local benefits?
Overall yes.

Memorable parts?
Whale watching
Tips?
Not possible to generalise from personal experience
Local benefits?
Not for most of it. On reflection we realised that we had lost sight of this original reason for going through Responsible travel. Not sure how easy it is in USA to get away from low wage big business.

Snorkelling in Caye Caulker, Belize, was an amazing experience! It is very difficult to choose the most memorable/exciting part of the holiday, the whole fortnight was fantastic. The scenery is stunning, the wildlife amazing, all the boat crew were great, the atmosphere on board warm and friendly, the food was fabulous, the activities well organised. Our trip was fantastic. It’s hard to know where to start in describing it as we did so much.
Firstly our guides were great. We had three, Luis in Mexico City, Edwin for the tour down to Merida then Mariano on the last day. It was really impressive how knowledgeable they all were on the history and culture of every place we went to. They took every care to look after us and make everything work for us.
