Memorable parts?
Seeing Orangutans was very memorable and exciting.
Tips?
Travel light. For the jungle have some spare clean clothes. Wear good mid height walking shoes not trainers, unsuitable. Lots of river crossings so trousers that turn to shorts are good & flip flops essential. Bring mints, chews, any small things you can share with the fantastic guides.

Bali is super tourist friendly and it is very easy to book very affordable day trips to anywhere in the island from most places on the spot. I would strongly recommend to travel Bali on your own. (more)Ela Horoszko
(The trip was) awesome! The people were friendly and our guide was knowledgeable and concerned about our safety and comfort. It was great to learn about the Bali culture. The hotels were clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this trip. (more)Monica Wilson
Memorable parts?
A lot to mention, but we were lucky with our timing in that we got to see the independence day celebrations in both Singapore and Indonesia (Lombok). The event put on by Sudamala Senggigi in particular was fantastic.
Tips?
I would spend more time exploring Lombok over going to Bali.
Local benefits?
In Lombok, yes, in Bali not so sure. Lombok is very beautiful, unspoilt and the people are wonderful. Bali feels a bit spoilt to be honest. Yes, there are ... (more)Chris Deighton

All the holiday was memorable but for me: going into the rainforest and seeing truly wild orangutans and a family of foraging Thomas Leaf Monkeys close up without a care of being watched. Snorkelling in the Komodo National Park... (more)Val Golding

We are a family of five with three children aged 11-16, and all enjoyed our whole trip - huge variety of places and activities. The kids particularly enjoyed the beach and nice hotel at the end. (more)Maggie Scott
Memorable parts?
The trip upriver on the house boat in Tanjung Puting NP, Kalimantan, was extremely comfortable and enjoyable. There were lots of orangutan sightings at
the feeding stations. The fireflies in the nipa palms on the river banks are fabulous. The reefs in the Komodos Islands are simply some of the most stunning in the world and the variety of corals and sealife is prolific for the snorkeller including: manta rays, stingrays, turtles and reef sharks. The exodus of fruit bats ... (more)Clive Porter
Fantastic! Everything was perfect, from start to finish it was an amazing experience. Back less than a week and we are already planning our next Indonesia adventure. (more)Lisa Delaney
Most memorable: Seeing the jungle in its natural, untapped, wild state - all creatures that we saw, from the crocodile, long-tailed macaque and proboscis monkey, orangutans, stork-billed kingfisher, greater coucal, the list goes on... (more)Richard Burkhill
Memorable parts?
The people, Borobodur, Prambanan, cycle ride through the fields eating fruit from the trees, coffee plantation, Bromo, hotel in Bali.
Tips?
As well as the jet lag at the beginning, there are some early starts - pace yourself and have a rest at the end.
Local benefits?
The focus was very local, so hopefully benefits were targeted there. As much as possible, our footprint was managed. And the people on the ground were aware, especially at the Bali hotel, ... (more)jonathan hall
Very enjoyable. Having a guide and driver was great because it meant we did not have to make any decisions or bookings. Our guide met with us while we ordered dinner, explained the next day and asked our preferences and then we just turned up and enjoyed. This allowed me to really relax. (more)Will Pulsford
Very good. We had a very knowledgeable guide and there was an interesting mix of culture, beautiful scenery and activities. (more)Patricia Wise
Excellent trip, our guides were outstanding. The trip was well managed and our food and accomodations were generally excellent. (more)Leslie Miller
It seems strange to say but the highlight of the trip was attending a funeral in Toraja. The lavish ceremony, held over five days, is like nothing I have ever seen. There were hundreds attending the ceremony and dozens of buffalo and even more pigs slaughtered to feed the people. (more)Simon Emery
Simply amazing! (more)Gerard Mulryan
Memorable parts?
The Komodo dragons and creator lakes
Tips?
The trip seemed a bit rushed and Bali was even more touristy than I thought
Local benefits?
We stayed in good local accommodation employing local people, local guides and restaurants also benefited from our visit. By visiting the Komodo national
park I feel that we helped the locals think about conservation.
