Carry cash. There is a reluctance everywhere in Morocco to accept credit card.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Watching the sunset over the sand dunes in the desert was a highlight. I wasn't really looking forward to the camel ride but actually it was very good. The camels were well behaved and well looked after (as were we, especially as I found it very hard to climb the last dune!). But there were lots of other wonderful experiences too.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Prior to the trip, we thought we would be able to use credit cards widely. This turned out to be untrue and we had to keep getting out more cash with a fee for each transaction. So my tip - take cash (any major currency) which you can exchange at the hotel and, if you need more and need to get it from an ATM withdraw as much cash as you can in a single transaction.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. We were taken to a number of licenced co-operatives run by local artisans so that we could buy good quality products and support the local economy and they were't too pushy. I'm not sure about environmental impacts.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
We really enjoyed it. We feel that we have a much better understanding of the people and culture of Morocco- the guide was very good. There was a good mix of guided activities and free-time. We particularly enjoyed the Mosque in Casablanca, Chefchouen, the views in the Atlas Mountains and the relaxing time at Essaouira. 1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
There were so many, it's really hard to choose. The biggest cultural experience regarding differences and excitement were probably the medina of Fez and the Jemaa el-Fnaa in Marrakech. I loved the stay in Chefchaouen and Essaouira as well, the trip to the desert and the drive through the mountains (would have loved to stay there a little longer). For me personally, rock climbing in Todra Gorge was also a highlight for many different reasons.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be aware that you don't have a lot of free time to yourselves.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, I loved that you work with local guides and show the travellers places that support local businesses. That was one of the main reasons I chose you.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
It was a great experience and sometimes quite adventurous. Our guide was absolutely amazing, full of love for his country which transported on to us and very knowledgeable.Read the operator's response here:
