Our Kruger safari. Simavati Amani was a beautiful, intimate lodge and the staff were lovely. We watched animals come to the watering hole and a huge variety of birds come to feed and drink in the garden. All this from the grounds of the lodge. The safari drives in Klasserie, and our guide/driver were outstanding. The guide went out of his way to give us a full, educational and exciting experience. (more)Sian Richards

There were many memorable moments. Camping in the Okovango Delta was amazing, and the walks around the delta meant that we could get really close to some animals without disturbing them. Memorable parts? South Luangwa NP seeing 3 leopards the same day, I really enjoyed the canoe trip on Kafue river. Tips? Winter time can be chilly (5-6 C during the night, windy, humid) in Africa, we had to buy extra blankets (it was cheap, PEP the baby shop had excellent ones) despite the sleeping bag with us.
