1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The whole trip was amazing, but what really stood out was the customer service; the tour managers, guides, drivers, ship's crew, and hotel staff were all outstanding. If I had to pick one special moment, it was when we got off the plane in Luxor and I immediately knew where I was in relation to all the ancient sites in the area from having played Assassin's Creed Origins.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
While the operator will take good care of you, we recommend doing research ahead of time to understand the tipping culture and be prepared with appropriate cash (especially for toilets). Also, make sure to bring a bathing suit as there will be time on most afternoons for visiting the hotel/cruise ship pool. Also, make a list of specialty Egyptian foods so that you can remember to try the ones that sound interesting. The Um Ali dessert is one we especially recommend. Finally, make sure you have appropriate desert wear: light, breathable clothes, sturdy footwear, and possibly even a head covering, especially if you are sensitive to sun. You will be out in some very hot, direct sunlight.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
All our guides and drivers were local folks who spoke English well and were able to explain both the history and culture of Egypt. We much preferred this to an outside guide. We also stopped at several locally run craft shops.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Outstanding. The trip of a lifetime. We're already looking at other destinations available through this operator.Helen Wallace review 10 Apr 2023
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Visiting the pyramids at Giza and the Nile cruise2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared for early starts and flexible itinerary! Egypt is a developing nation and there is extreme poverty and and travelling around Cairo especially made me aware of this. Be prepared to be constantly approached by vendors and expect to pay a small tip any service or assistance (carrying your case/ taking a photo etc) so try and keep small Egyptian notes available.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I hope that by contributing to Egyptian tourism that we have supported conservation of the wonderful treasures of Egypt. We ensured that all locals were paid for any service given. I was concerned about the large volume of plastic waste especially from bottled water which is provided at all hotels/ cruise and on trips. Unfortunately I did not feel confident to drink the local tap water.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
This was a hugely enjoyable holiday- but very tiring! The trip is fast paced with daily early starts in Cairo/ Aswan/ Luxor. All day trips in Cairo were usually early start but finished by early / mid afternoon. It was Ramadan during our stay which may have had an impact on this. Hotel in Cairo (Hilton Giza Pyramids) and the Nile River Cruise was excellent quality but the hotel in Hurghada was tired and definitely not 5 star as rated.Read the operator's response here:
Thank you so much for your feedback we really appreciate sharing this with us. Of course we understand that the plastic is very dangers and it must be
recycled. We already shared your valuable comment with Hotels, cruise.. etc. And they promised to work on new plans to speared the green culture, as our
country are still developing the recycling project, and the government do every thing possible to spread this culture.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The boat trip from Aswan to Luxor was very special - not least because of the tour operator's tour guide, but also the boat itself and the quality of the food. Obviously the weather and the temples were very special. The rest of the guests were a variety of folk from around the world, a small group so very easy to get to know.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Definitely go to the Red Sea after the trip round all the temples - the hotels in Makadi Bay were to die for. Take advantage of the tour guides for extra tours and places to go.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
only in the sense of the tour guides and the tips we paid everyone.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent.... the setting and temples are magnificent, the weather was great, and the tour guides lovely. The hotels were good although I'd have liked a extra day in Cairo and Aswan.Kath Shepherd review 7 Nov 2022
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The whole trip was amazing, but if I have to pick something, sailing down the Nile on a dahabiha was just wonderful and the tombs in the Valley of the Kings were astonishing.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Have plenty small notes as tipping is essential and learn a few words of Egyptian Arabic. The locals were very entertained with our attempts and appreciated our efforts.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
We will always remember seeing so many pyramids, tombs and temples from ancient Egypt.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared to be impressed with the overarching customer service from this local travel company. We were assisted by their staff from straight off the plane, throughout our travels until we finally departed through passport control.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Booking directly through them gave employment to many Egyptian people and put foreign money into museums, hotels, ancient sites, shops and the dahabeya boat company we cruised with.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
An exceptionally enjoyable and informative experience.Jeff Horne review 8 Aug 2018
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Going inside the Great Pyramid at Giza, Cairo was a childhood bucket list item, but the hot air balloon trip from Luxor over the Valley of the Kings, Karnak & Luxor temples was fantastic! The sights and sounds of 20 odd hot air balloons being inflated at dawn all around us is a memory that will stay forever.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
We went in July - too hot! But use this operator - they were fantastic every step of the way and their organisation and excellent guides made the trip.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We used this operator, who are a long established Egyptian company and they provided local guides and used local shops, restaurants and services.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
An excellent holiday! We were slightly hesitant over security but had no problems in the end. Going in July meant it was off season so we had a lot of the sights to ourselves. Every single Egyptian person we met was extremely friendly and helpful.Sheetal Patel review 4 May 2018
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The Nile Cruise2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
More about tipping. We paid to much on the first tip to our guide. Even though the local tour operator will recommend an amount. It can get stressful so be prepared with small notes i.e. $1 bills.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, salaries for local people.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Totally outstanding and memorable.John Watt review 31 Mar 2018
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Being guided around the ancient monuments of Egypt by knowledgeable guides bringing the past alive. Too many highlights but the colours in the tombs.... From 4500 years ago.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Get plenty of smaller denomination notes for tips.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Definitely benefitted local people through income from tourism. Not sure about environmental impacts or conservation - didn’t find a huge awareness of these aspects.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
5 stars. Our first guided tour which made arrangements so easy and allowed us to concentrate on the tours, not on the logistics.Linda Araujo review 30 Apr 2018
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Abu Simbel was impressive inside and out. The Valley of the Kings- amazing to walk inside and see the writings and color on the walls after thousands of years. Cruising on the Nile was very relaxing. Climbing inside the pyramid at Giza was a thrill.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Avoid taking a late afternoon flight to Aswan from Cairo, and then starting your next day at 4am to drive to Abu Simbel. Be aware that the boat really only cruises one day on the Nile.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Many local people employed as tour guides, drivers and crew.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Overall, I was a bit disappointed after reading so many positive reviews of the tour company. Maybe my expectations were too high. The sights themselves were magnificent, certainly worth the visit. But the tour reps and guides seemed to have done their jobs so many times, their speech had become routine, and I felt like just another client being pushed through the system.Casse Weaver review 4 Dec 2017

Visiting Egypt has so many incredible parts! Some highlights were riding camels by the pyramids, a hot air balloon ride over Luxor, and snorkelling in the Red Sea!2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Definitely utilize a guide service! Responsible Travel got me in touch with our tour operator, for our trip to Egypt. They were absolutely incredible! It took all the guesswork out of where to go and how to get there... they took care of everything for a very reasonable price!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, the tour company included visits to local small businesses to see how traditional items are being handmade and give tourists the opportunity to buy these quality items. We also got to eat at locally run restaurants for several lunches.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
