1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Safaris without the hint of a doubt2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Get yourselves a mask because during the dry season you'll breath and eat a lot of dust. Dry season is better because there are almost no mosquitoes. Be generous to the people and they'll give back to you a hundred fold.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We did not support conventional industrial touristic operators, we know we did not, nature was respected so it gave me the feeling that we reduced our footprint. Safaris on the contrary will suffer a little bit of environmental impact as some national parcs have a LOT of vehicles driving around.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Responsible travel gave us in the hands of the tour operator which is situated in the capital Colombo, we were so glad to be able to do this with them because the service and the care they provided us with was just amazing, the locals know exactly how to deal with all the interfaces (accomodations/drivers/naturalists) so it is so much beneficial to support the local market. Because without asking, sometimes you get some extra treats but shhh :) People are so kind and respectful... It was one of our best destinations ever. I just want to add that we are europeans from Luxembourg and Paris is 3 hours away from us, we are not afraid to spend weekends over there regularly although it has been internationally blacklisted due to those terrorist attacks in November 2015, there is no fear to have or whatsoever to go back to Sri Lanka, as it is now that they need us the most.Holiday Reviews
