1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Our guide, Dave, had a lot of great information to help us along the way. I loved the bush camp off the Maclaren glacial river. We were far away from everyone in the majestic wilderness of Alaska and saw a brilliant northern lights display. It was magical! The animals sightings were spectacular!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Talk with Dave or Natalie before you book. They are readily available and genuinely want you to have a fabulous Alaskan trip! On the trip, be flexible. You’ll have more fun! Try spending 1-2 days in Anchorage before the group trip begins.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I do feel the money I spent supported the local economy and the style of travel was environmentally responsible.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

This is a trip I will always remember! The group was fun and supportive. We were aged 25-75 so it really is for all levels-you set your own challenges (such as ice climbing!).

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Watching a grizzly chase two caribou in Denali, jumping into the cold sea after a visit to a sauna, kayaking and canoeing, hiking to an icefield and abandoned mine, and watching salmon migrating.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Bring a sleeping bag capable of freezing temperatures and a good sleeping pad. Go light on tee shirts and shorts and bring good top and bottom rainwear and a warm beanie with gloves.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

We travelled as a group of about 16 in one vehicle and eat food we prepared bought from local grocery stores. Little contact with the locals.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The trip let us see a wide range of Alaska inland locations and try a variety of activities. Overall I'd recommend the trip to anyone who is willing to rough it and tolerate rainy and overcast weather while being rewarded with some wonderful views.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Too many highlights to single out individual experiences. The sheer scale and beauty of Alaska is genuinely breathtaking. Hiking on a glacier, canoeing down a glacial river, kayaking at the foot of a glacier, seeing bears, Caribou, moose and wolves in their natural environment will all linger long in our memories. Oh, and the northern lights and... and... and...

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be prepared for all weathers. Things change quickly in Alaska so you need the right clothing and the right attitude to get the most from the experience. If you are not an experienced camper this trip will stretch your boundaries. Be prepared for the infamous pit toilets and days without access to showers and running water.. But you couldn’t be in better hands with Infinite - they’ll make it fun and enjoyable. Alaskan rain will certainly improve your speed at putting up a tent... Accept that you are going to be wearing the same clothes for a few days and pack appropriately. Use a soft bag / duffel to pack. This is not the place for roll along suitcases! A reasonable level of fitness is needed to get the most out of this trip.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Lots of local businesses and accommodation / campsites are used by Infinite and they clearly know their suppliers on a personal level. Travelling in one vehicle together and camping is pretty low impact compared to using hotels etc.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Fabulous. Humbling. Incredible. Awe inspiring.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Mclaren Glacier/Columbus Glacier

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Good sleeping bag/pad. Good play list

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

It certainly did financially! We left no footprints.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Had a great time. Natalie and Aaron were great guides...both going out of there ways to be helpful. Both were entertaining and could answer almost all the questions I posed .Natalie even provided a mini earthquake (at no extra cost). The trip itself was a perfect mix of travel and adventure. It never felt like hard work and was always just outside my comfort zone (which is where I like to be) Alaska is amazing and this tour was a superb introduction to it. Ps Excellent blanket. highly questionable play list ..brace for Dirty Dancing.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The best part for me was that we saw that many animals. Animals everywhere on the road, campground and on the day trips. It was really good that Dave always took good pictures which we got at the end. And I also really liked the campfires in the evening where we were talking with each other and ate a lot marshmallows :)

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Don't think about it if you really should do it or not! Do it you will love it. If you like camping and do outdoor activities then chose this trip. It will be the best decision which you made for your Alaska holiday.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I think already that you are traveling in a group it's better for the environmental because then you only need one car/ bus and not everybody is driving. And they also support the local people because we went to kind of small campgrounds. And we also stopped by small villages where we went for a coffee or to buy a souvenir.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was a really good decision to choose our tour operator to travel Alaska. You are getting around which is kinda hard in Alaska without a car, you meet really cool people and you are going on good tours which are really worth it for what you pay. Nat and Dave also know a lot and they can answer many questions. And Nat and Dave are really friendly, fun and helpful people. And also the money that you are paying for this trip is worth it. You are really getting a lot for it.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

We were instantly drawn to the Alaska Denali Expedition because it encompassed everything we wanted from our time in Alaska – and it didn't disappoint! Natalie and Dave were great hosts, very knowledgeable and professional but also approachable and friendly. It is clear they have a passion for Alaska and the itinerary they have put together demonstrates that they care about showing their guests the best it has to offer.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Their converted school bus was a fantastic way to travel around and was comfortable with plenty of storage space for everyone. We were constantly impressed with the tasty meals that Natalie and Dave managed to put together on just a couple of gas burners and there was always plenty to go around, even in our large group. The tents they provided were really quick and easy to put up and were also very spacious. The camp sites we stayed in were all in spectacular locations, it is worth noting that some had better facilities than others! However, for us it wasn't a problem as wilderness camping is something we enjoy doing and it just added to the adventure! There was a very good selection of optional activities with something to suit everyone’s' tastes and abilities. All the activities we selected were excellent, it is definitely worth spending a little extra money to experience them.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Natalie and Dave have built up good relationships with local suppliers and all the optional activities they provide were all run by local companies. There were recycling facilities and we always left each location as we found it.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and it has given us some incredible memories we'll treasure forever. We would 100% recommend this trip.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

So many, the beauty of Denali National Park, the remoteness and serenity of Maclaren River, the beauty of Valdez Bay and the fabulous team guides Natalie and Aaron bit if I must single out one experience it would be the visit to Kennecott in Wrangell/St. Elias National Park and the hike to and on the Root Glacier and the subsequent ice climbing. A fantastic time in an exquisite location .

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

In order to really enjoy this expedition to the fullest and to really capitalize on all the offerings ensure that you are physically fit.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Not really to any significant extent. Other than injecting money into the local economies by participating in the activities offered by local guiding/tour companies at each location there was not much else to recognize.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Overall, it was a fantastic trip and will be remembered fondly.
