Memorable parts? Seeing Orangutans was very memorable and exciting. Tips? Travel light. For the jungle have some spare clean clothes. Wear good mid height walking shoes not trainers, unsuitable. Lots of river crossings so trousers that turn to shorts are good & flip flops essential. Bring mints, chews, any small things you can share with the fantastic guides. Local benefits? Visiting the silk road cities of Samarkand, Khiva and Bukhara and having time to wander in each place and admire the reconstructed buildings.
