It benefited local people as we ate in local restaurants.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
An excellent holiday. The organisation by the tour operator was superb. Irene met us at the hotel on the evening of our arrival despite it being 11 pm. She was extremely hospitable and shared her knowledge of Northern Cyprus with us. Take a small compass. The walk instructions often talk about going E or W. But if you can't see the sun this can be difficult to work out.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We certainly ate in local restaurants and purchased local products4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Prepare for all weather types if you go in March. It gets cold in the morning and evening.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Everything at the hotel felt local and authentic. The taxi drivers knew everyone. A man waited for us to finish our walk and kept the Church open for us. He made us refreshments.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
This holiday exceeded our expectations. The accommodation had character and throughout our stay we began to become very attached to the staff and were sad to say goodbye! Thank you for making us so welcome. The hotel catered for dietary requirements; there was no menu, the chef offered us options of authentic Cypress dishes prepared from local ingredients. Grapefruit at breakfast was from the garden. Taxi pick up and drop up to the walks was reliable. The drivers seemed to know all the locals. The instructions for the walks were mostly clear but the emergency phone provided was answered promptly if clarification of the right direction was needed. The tour operator checked in with us regularly and helped us organise any additional trips whilst we were there. The walks themselves were stunning and often ended with a cultural heritage site.
