Slovenia holidays
Tiny Slovenia revels in its richly-storied diversity: ravishing Italianate coastal resorts, lush forests, emerald-green lakes, rushing rivers and snow-capped peaks, in a landscape sprinkled with fairytale castles & ancient towns. Beneath ground, Europe's largest cave systems give up spectacular archaeological finds. Slovenia holidays or Slovenia tours should also include the excellent wine! A small country, yes – but ones with big pleasures.

Very happy with our holiday, choice of region and the tour organiser who was attentive and delivered as promised. [The most memorable part of our holiday was] riding into a new place each night. (more)Els Termaat

Each destination varied and amazing. Our group and leader were a delight. Bring good shoes, though the distances were not great, you should be able to walk a few kms easily to keep up. (more)Rachel Kovachis

There were so many, the sunrise shoot at Jamnik Church, each time we visited lake Bled, the walk up the river or through the forest both with wonderful snow fall, the dinner on the last night, can't pick a specific moment, all were awesome.
Tips?
It is going to be cold when you go, so make sure you've got the appropriate clothing. Gloves may seem an afterthought since you're using your camera, but
bring a pair, your tripod will be cold to hold.

Slovenia is a combination of the best parts of Alpine and Mediterranean Europe. Mountains, lakes, churches, history, gorgeous scenery and tranquil but compact so no long travel days. And did we mention the wine?! Our trip was personalised to our needs. Katia and Sam at the tour operator kept us informed through out the planning and even phoned us in NZ (not just email) to make sure they understood our trip goals! Our local guide Damien was excellent.
