Amazing - once in a lifetime trip! (more)James Small
It was an incredible experience. I would change things around a bit, having been there, but it was safe, friendly and memorable holiday in which we all learnt
something from it. (more)Sarah Lowrie
Seeing wildlife such as orangutans and monkeys. (more)Brian Arrowsmith
We did so many amazing things it’s hard to choose but probably our visit to turtle island. watching the hatchlings being released on the beach in the evening and the walking up and seeing the mother turtles returning to the sea after laying there eggs. (more)Sarah Rodin
It was an extremely memorable experience, glad we did it. (more)Patricia Soong

Memorable parts?
I can't name only one!! If I really had to choose, I'd say the Borneo rainforest
lodge in Danam Valley. Stunning location, amazingly helpful and knowledgeable staff and beautifully maintained lodges. Could not fault it.
Tips?
Even in the dry season, leech socks are necessary for Tabin and Danum Valley.
Buy buy them there, not online. MUCH cheaper! This is a BUSY schedule involving very early mornings most days, as that's when you're most likely to see ... (more)Liz Carr
Do it! It is a wonderful organisation that deserves support, and the volunteering
experience will give you a much greater insight into the location, community, and environment than a normal tourist trip would. (more)Michelle Gray
10/10. This was a phenomenal experience, not least due to the professionalism, experience and commitment of the APE project staff on the ground. We learnt
a great deal from beginning to end. (more)Vandna Kalia
Memorable parts?
Probably summiting Mt Kinabalu for sunrise, what a feeling! Also the wildlife was
incredible.
Tips?
You don't really need the leech protection if you aren't going to Danum. I wish I'd brought more shorts and "casual" attire rather than just long sleeved jungle wear!
Local benefits?
Yes I felt that the tours were done in very responsible way and the guides and local people truly care about conservation.

First class, seamless and well organised. (more)Gary Ward
See and experience as much as you can and go off the beaten track a bit - most people that we met were not visiting (or had not even heard of) Deramakot Forest Reserve or Mulu NP, and we had amazing experiences in both of these places.

A holiday in 2 parts, wildlife and cities. Our Malaysian guides were excellent and tour leaders were paramount in making our holiday enjoyable. (more)Helga Brown
Seeing the orang-utans, especially in wild when taking the morning river cruise. Second best was the foodie tour of Kual Lumpur. Really enjoyable. Well organised. Excellent guides from Exodus, plus they selected really good local tours for us. (more)John Roy Dewell
Very good; especially once in Borneo. Local guides were all excellent. (more)Sarah Fisher
Excellent, loved it, the experience was quite magical. (more)Fiona McDonald
Seeing all the wildlife was great especially for the kids -- monkeys & wild boar at Bako National Park, Semenggoh Orangutans' Center, & seeing the Irawaddy
Dolphins on the Santubong Wildlife Cruise. And the rainforest kayaking was definitely fun for the whole family. For my 14 yr old daughter, she would say that
having her half drunk can of Lychee drink stolen by a Macaque monkey at Bako was the highlight.

In such a short space of time, we saw Orangutans, Proboscis Monkeys, Pig-tail Macaques, Long-tail Macaques, Pygmy Elephants, A Flying Squirrel, Silver Leaf langurs and a few giant water monitor lizards! Really exceeding my expectations of what I wanted in terms of a wildlife trip... once in a life time! (more)Cera McCrann
It was excellent! Thank you. (more)Catherine Harriss
Our highlight was seeing the Orangutans... A fabulous good value for money holiday with lovely people and an amazing guide. (more)Elizabeth (Liz) Morrissey
Memorable parts?
For, the bird watching at Fraser Hill. Great guide Cheong Weng Chun.
Tips?
Ipoh not really worth a visit. Birdwatching excellent.
Local benefits?
As it was mainly a city holiday I didn't feel that I had much impact. I guess we helped the guides and and Grab drivers and of course restaurants and hawkers.
Overall rating?
The holiday was good largely to a great guide, Chandra. The planning of the trip took a lot of organising and I felt that the ... (more)Jane Newman

Ramadan had a negative impact on this tour. Many key restaurants that our guide was to takes us to were closed.
Raman negara national park was a big disappointment - we saw one monkey in 3 days. (more)Carm Loffredo
Seeing the orangutans. Excellent. (more)Maria Cazorla
So hard to say (what was the most memorable moment) as there was at least one highlight every day. From the first nights meal out in a local restaurant to seeing Orang-utans in the wild. Having local guides mean that you are immersed in the culture of Malaysian Borneo.
