CARBON REDUCTIONThis itinerary has been designed to champion slower travel by only including two different areas across 10 nights, it therefore cuts down on flying and transport as compared to an itinerary which moves to a different camp every 2 or 3 nights.
Both camps in the itinerary run exclusively on solar power.
Human powered activities are available at both camps, including walking safaris and canoe safaris therefore cutting down on the emission produced by safari vehicles.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
Both camps take time to sort their waste and dispose of selected products outside of the wildlife reserves, however before this step they actively procure their produce in a sustainably conscious way, home-grown vegetables, locally sourced meats - all to minimise the impacts of plastic waste and excess.
Musekese Camp, the second camp in the itinerary funds a charity called Musekese Conservation to provide resources and technical support for law enforcement, research and community based natural resource management. The goal is to contribute to the preservation of wildlife and habitat, whilst promoting sustainable livelihoods for the communities living within and around the Kafue National Park.
