Description of Malaysia food and culture holiday
Discovering the one true culture of Malaysia through her food is certain to set you on the right path. The country is an absolute melting pot of culinary heritage which brings the people of Malaysia together like a tried and tested recipe that’s been passed down through generations.
From India to China, Thailand to indigenous Malay, seeking out the street food markets and food courts of Malacca, Kuala Lumpur, Georgetown and Penang is a must for foodies and will leave you hungry for more as you make your way to the beachside restaurants of Langkawi.
This two week tailor made tour gives you more than enough time to make the most of Malaysia as well as tracing the country’s cultural strands that lead back through time like a steaming bowl of Laksa noodle soup. Enjoy!

Planet
Throughout your trip many of your excursions are by foot, boat, or cyclo, meaning that environmental impact has been kept to a minimum, whilst still offering the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery and striking history of Malaysia from a relaxing and personal perspective. You are also given a few days at leisure to discover sleepy towns by foot or bicycle at your own pace, rather than including additional touring days be car, to minimise your emissions. Whilst this example itinerary includes a domestic flight, the trip is entirely tailor-made and you have the flexibility to travel by boat instead. Our suppliers are focused on improving sustainability and reducing plastic waste. We are working together with them and the local guides to offer refillable water bottles and reduce offers of other single-use items such as wet wipes or straws on a more widespread basis. We use a number of hotels who work with the Refill not Landfill initiative.
