Example, we advice what we ware when our guests visit those sites and monuments. Water saving and Say no "plastic."
On arrival of guests, we give recycle bags that they can use when they go shopping and can say "no" plastic. Moreover, we provide the aluminum bottle to bring water during tour since we should reduce the plastic bottle of water during the tour before. Our guest may bring water from the hotel and so that we can reduce the usage of the plastic bottle on tour.
We try to use local transports such boat in our itinerary to reduce energy use and preserve the environment as well. We try to use suppliers such as hotel, and guides have knowledge about sustainable travel and who are trying to practice those. We send our sustainable policies to our suppliers and encourage them to participate with us together.
People
We know where to find all things local and we support and recommend our neighbors, spreading the tourism income to those most in need. We use local tour guides for each destination rather hiring only guides from main cities like Yangon, Mandalay in order to spread tourism contributions to local people. In Bagan area, we have participated in “Free-plastic Bagan” campaign in order to educate people the damage to the environment by plastics. We provide the fund to print out the vinyl and education message and spread around the area and we, our team, sometimes participate and garbage collecting activities around the Bagan area. We employ only local people for our operations by giving the fair price for their work and we do respect human rights for each and everyone who are working with the company. We provide necessary training according to the need at our office and even to local guides and communities. Our guides are local and so they know their places well and as our policies for local economy support, our guides always bring guests to only locally own art and crafts shops in order to sustain jobs and cultural diversity. We do work to create the relationship between our guests and local communities so our guides explain to our guests about local culture, traditions in advance in order not to have the conflict with local and serve as translators to talk with locals. Our guides will teach some useful local language to greet to locals so that they can get a good start with the locals and locals to love it.
