CARBON REDUCTION

Compact Itinerary for Lower Emissions: One of the features of this 5-day tour is its geographically compact itinerary. By concentrating on Slovenia's most iconic locations that are relatively close to each other, we significantly cut down on travel distances. This conscious design choice not only enhances the guest experience but also minimizes the carbon emissions associated with longer travel routes.

Eco-Friendly Transport in Triglav National Park: Triglav National Park is a sanctuary of natural beauty, and we are committed to keeping it that way. To minimize our carbon footprint, we utilize electric shuttle services for park exploration. These shuttles are part of the park's initiative to reduce vehicle emissions and protect the pristine environment.

Local and Organic Culinary Experience in Ljubljana: Our tour includes dining experiences at restaurants in Ljubljana that are champions of the farm-to-table movement. By sourcing ingredients locally and focusing on organic produce, these establishments significantly reduce the carbon emissions typically associated with food transportation. Moreover, they actively engage in sustainable waste management, including composting and recycling.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
Conservation Contributions in Piran: Piran's coastal ecosystem is both beautiful and fragile. On our tours, we are visiting projects that aim to protect indigenous marine species and combat water pollution through community education and direct action.

Sustainable Practices in Triglav National Park: Our activities in Triglav National Park are meticulously planned to align with the park's sustainability guidelines.

LOCAL ECONOMY

Supporting Local Artisans in Ljubljana: The tour includes a curated visit to Ljubljana's artisan markets, where local craftsmen and artists display their work. This not only enriches the cultural fabric of the tour but also funnels economic benefits directly to local creators, sustaining traditional crafts and practices.

Locally-Owned Accommodations in Bled and Piran: In both Bled and Piran, we prioritize accommodations that are locally owned. This ensures that the economic benefits of tourism are directly channeled back into the community, supporting local employment and services.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY, AND DIVERSITY

Local Employment and Fair Wages: A cornerstone of our employment policy is to hire locally. For this 5-day tour, 98% of the staff, from guides to drivers, are Slovenian residents. This not only ensures authentic experiences for our guests but also provides stable employment opportunities within the community. Additionally, we and our ground operating partners are committed to paying all staff at least the minimum wage, if not more, in Slovenia.

Inclusivity and Marginalized Communities: We actively seek to create income-generating opportunities for people who are often marginalized. For instance, the artisan markets in Ljubljana feature crafts from local artists, some of whom come from marginalized backgrounds. This provides them with a platform to showcase their talents and earn a livelihood.

Diversity Strategy: Our company has a robust diversity strategy that nurtures an inclusive work environment. We are committed to equal employment opportunities without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, or nationality.

LGBTQ+ Friendly Tour: We take pride in offering a tour that is welcoming to everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation. All our staff is inclusive and respectful of LGBTQ+ guests.
