3. Walking in the Wye Valley

The Wye Valley is one of the most beautiful places to walk in the UK, the river running through a forested valley, crags and ruins peeping between the trees. Walking here up the steep valley sides gives you spectacular views as the river twists and turns towards the Bristol Channel. Historic sights hide in the landscape: castles, ruins, the magnificent Tintern Abbey, and the 17th century hunting lodge where you’ll stay the night. 4. Border to coast horse riding holiday

Set out on a small group riding expedition from England’s Wye Valley to the Welsh coast at the Dovey Estuary. Over the course of a week, you’ll follow 160km of trails, with nights spent in small locally run inns and hotels along the way.
