1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Enjoying the nature. Beautiful walks, waterfalls, and dolphin spotting
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Dont hesitate..great knowledgeable host ,good comfortable accommodation. Good value and lots to explore
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, we chose the holiday as we wanted to consider the environment. We are vegetarian food and spent money at independent businesses and attractions. It stopped us flying off somewhere and the B and B was very ethically run.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Holiday was great. Phil the host helped us get the best out of it with his extensive local knowledge. Comfortable and clean accommodation. Quite basic but that suited us

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
A memorable vacation to a unique land. Our host, Phil, was outstanding. His place is in a tiny town in the hills of Central Wales, about 20 minutes from the spectacular coastal trail. He is a walker/hiker of exceptional accomplishment, knows every track in Wales, and gave us most excellent guidance about where to go. He also was our guide on a memorable ascent of Cader Idris, one of the highest peaks in Snowdonia. Highly recommended for fit hikers (can be difficult in bad weather—take Phil, or at least his advice, and rain gear!)
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
The accommodation is very nice. One large, one medium double; and one quite small single. His breakfasts were excellent. And vegetarian. He will cater to all flavors of veg, but we had no trouble getting him to feed us vegan or nearly-vegan cuisine. All delicious and filling.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Vegetarianism always benefits the environment, locally and globally.
Wish we could have spent more time in Wales. A Welsh poet, W.H. Davies, wrote:
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare…
This is the place to walk and walk, and stand and be comforted and amazed by this wonderful country.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Wonderful. I'd give it 5 stars, but the ratings below require 5 to be the best holiday ever, which I can't quite say.

We provide a pickup/drop off service to our customers from the train and bus station, this will discourage excessive car use and promote the use of local transport. There is also a car share in the village and a bus/driver can be hired privately. We also encourage guests to help lower carbon emissions by providing bikes, maps and bus timetables of the area for our guests. At the farm we encourage wildlife by feeding birds, providing bird boxes and carefully managing our hedgerow. All our fruit and vegetables grown here are organic which encourages a prosperous insect population.90% of our waste is re-cycled – most of it composted then put back in the soil. The wood for our stove is locally sourced.
Last year we took advantage of a government subsidy and installed a foot thick of insulation in its loft to save energy. We also have double glazing in almost all the rooms downstairs and some of the rooms upstairs. All our radiators have individual thermostats.
One of the toilets is a half flush and showers are positively encouraged as this saves on water and our annual fuel cost. All of our lamps in the house use long lasting bulbs.
We re-cycle all paper, cardboard, plastic, printing cartridges, batteries etc.

Large supermarkets are having a significant impact on local shops, pubs and other local services. By providing accommodation in the village, all our customers will be encouraged to use local shops, public houses, post offices and bus services.Any local produce is bought at local farms, fairs and farmers markets where possible. Our eggs are purchased locally, free range and delicious.
We always use local services whenever needed including a local plumber to fix the airlock who lives in Llanilar, 3 miles away, the electrician lives in the village and the mechanic in the town , 9 miles away.
